The historical Burrows House in Vernon, Vermont, was erected in 1849 by Jarvis F. Burrows as a business venture located across from the town's original railroad depot in North Vernon. Built in 1849 to capitalize on the arrival of the railroad and the newly built depot in North Vernon, it served as an important early trade, communication, and community hub in what was considered the bustling downtown center of Vernon's railroad era. The building has undergone multiple incarnations and uses over the decades following its initial construction.
