Welcome to our web site. Its purpose is to share information on a variety of historical and genealogical subjects, and other stories. Some of the sources of information are from old personal papers and photos concerning the topics, which may not be available elsewhere. 

I have tried to give credit to sources of content used, for fairness purposes, and to help others who may be researching these topics. 

I try to include as many pictures as possible. Unfortunately there aren’t many photos before 1850 and not everyone had a portrait painted.
